| what do you prefer longer but easier to execute alg or shorter but kinda hard to execute? during my memorization days of oll, i found out two oll algs from noort's page which has more or less 13 moves which is exactly two olls: sune + FRUR'U'F' and antisune + FRUR'U'F'
master ken told me this: longer + finger tricks = faster(lol)
wana know other cuber's opinion too. . ! ! _________________ 2x2 Single PB: 11.xx 2x2 Average PB: 17.xx 3x3 Single PB: 18.83 3x3 Average PB: 25.63 3x3 Siamese PB: 47.xx

| marami nagsabi... it doesn't matter how hard the ALGS is... or how long it is...
it is your finger tricks... just like this...
Z Perm... * (x') R U' R' U D R' D U' R' U R D2' F (x)
he does it like just 1 seconds...
nalimutan ko yun sites... puro finger tricks yun... from R U to R U R' U' etc...
and i saw also in a video... he's still using the original FRIDRICH... hindi optimized or enhanced or alternatives... pero sub18...
pero siyempre... bibilis ka lalo kung optimized... easy kahit long algs... shorter the better... and FAST FINGER TRICKS...
well yun ang hinuha ko... kaya sub35 pa rin me for 3 weeks...
heheheheheheh... _________________ My Cube Collection

| | for me, use the shorther one, kasi po, medyo mabagal nga kaysa sa long but with nice fingertricks. PERO, pag namaster mo na, mas mabilis un kaysa sa longer lalo na pag namaster mo na ung fingertricks |

| Yeah. I have to agree with Jemay. Longer but easier to execute. Optimized algorithms tend to have awkward re-grips and move sequences. Such as sudden B's or D' that come out of nowhere. Very time consuming in my opinion. Comfort and convenience over number of moves. That's how I look at it. Yeah... _________________ Pappu de Leon |

| longer ako pero mas gus2 ko short sa mga mahirap na cases like f-perm or e-perm isama ko na ang v-perm _________________

| Shorter. Pero kung R-hand dominant 2-gen (Nakaji Z-perm, for one), I'll go for that.
Pero to put it in a better comparison, I must say that most shorter algs, though having weird moves out of nowhere, are usually faster than other "easier" agorithms.
Example: Yung mirror OLL ng FURU'R'F, it's usually done F'L'U'LUF, but I do it, (y' R'U' y') (R'URU') B. Mukhang weird, pero sa unang OLL, since left hand, umaabot ako ng 2s. Sa second one, sub-1.5.
Second case, yung mismong FURU'R'F' na algo, I do it sometimes as y2 f(RUR'U')f' if it ends up in the opposite angle. It seems weird, but it eliminates that awkward delay between the first F and U move.
Maraming scenarios, and it always depends on the case. Well, at least for me. _________________ 3x3x3 SS: 12.79s, 12.12 (PLL skip) 3x3x3 PB ave.: of 10, 18.37s; of 5, 17.62s Official WCA Record

| i think depende din sa cuber yan. either way, may advantage at disadvantage. _________________ hell yeah! i'm really bald! one day, i just woke up and decided to shave my head. and it beats the sh*t out of me. |

| It depends on your fingertricks which you are comfortable of. _________________ A picture or image, generally, is not one sided but a multiplex of vertical horizons compiled into one. So basically, if viewed critically, an image has multiple particulars; it is then for you to find out what roles these particulars act in compliance to make the picture work.
...and this is not just about photography.

| tulad ng sabi ni kuya pajo, may advantages and disadvantages ang both. i would go for shorter algs for OH. longer but easier executing algs for the normal solve _________________ EPIPHANY!!!!!!! I JUST FOUND OUT HOW TO OPTIMIZE ALGS!!! FINALLY! |

| What if a shorter algorithm will be invented and it can be executed much faster than the longer ones, who wouldn't prefer it diba? haha... _________________ *loyal member of tropang chatbox*
