do you think there would be new speedcubing methods?

do you think that there will be a new method for speedcubing. for faster time and lesser moves by the end of 2010?

i don't think someone will create a new method by the end of 2010. thats my guess. i could be wrong

ever heard if the ZB method? It's pretty crazy.

well anything is possible i guess, remember that the roux has only recently made itself known so you never know.

I doubt that newspeed cubing methods will be discovered at this point in time. But i think the Roux Method is promising. It's just that nobody pays attention to it. I think that if more cubers will study the Roux and then optimize the algorithms for easier memorization and finger tricks (just like what cubers did to Jessica Fridrich's original algos), it's possible that the Roux might surpass all Fridrich method. Just like what i said, "I think," so this is just a theory...

i know another way of solving the 3x3x3 but i stil didn't know the
name...it starts with the 1st layer, followed by the last layer, then you arrange the centers with respect to the 1st and 3rd layers, then you do the 2nd layer edges...it has very few algos to memorize and it isn't that had to do...i think it's great! Smile

hmmm... i think you're talking about Denny's solution for solving the 3x3. It's a beginner's method making use of 8 algorithms. here:

Before i studied the fridrich, this is also my first ever method for solving the cube. I'm averaging 5 mins already with this method when i decided to shift to fridrich.
