For the cubers who solve the cube in 20-25 seconds
This is great practise for sub 20... TURN SMOOTH AND CONSTANT ON THE F2L!!
Well just force yourself to be slow, hang on for a week I suggest.

Rama
nakachat ko si Rama Temmink ngayon ngayon lang, sabi nya i recommend ko daw to sa mga 20-25sec solvers.hindi pa daw mejo pwede sa akin to, ibang training daw gagawin sa akin. haha. hope this video helps daw.
-tama naman kung san ako nag post diba? although video sya pero about speedcubing right?-

was that rama temmink of netherlands? the world record holder for OH? but the advise is so true. exactly the same training i had to achieve sub-20.

totoo yan well si ken nag ganun kaya madaming alam si ken sa f2l na cases kasi nag slow solve din sya syempre meron kang nalalaman bago pag nakikita mo ung mga moves mo.... kasi minsan meron nakakapang bagong alg ahahahahaha like me mahilig kumapa nang OLL ahahahahaha dati u perm ko pangbata ih ahahahaha.. LOLX nice vid try ko

Re: For the cubers who solve the cube in 20-25 seconds
just question, pano kung minsan di masabayan ng look ahead mo, ung tempo...? So, does that mean na kelangan eh me alam ka talaga na madaming F2L cases/solutions?
Re: For the cubers who solve the cube in 20-25 seconds
cnabi nya sa akin yan last month nung nakachat ko sya that's true pero ginawa ko namn ano nga ba average ko??
Re: For the cubers who solve the cube in 20-25 seconds
add ko lang tong isa pang f2l slow solving video from Sinpei Araki of japan, currently ranked 32nd with the average of 13.59secs (as of this writing). again, this video is "prescribed*" for sub-25 cubers only (sorry, for sub-35cubers, practice the normal cross and the 41 basic corner-edge pairing algs first. if you get the hang of it and you managed to achieve sub-25, you can start doing slow solves and f2l shortcuts on your own, and you will see that it will be easy to achieve sub-20)
warning: japanese color scheme toh...

hmm... practice lang. as much as possible, dapat masaulo mo muna lahat ng PLL, OLL, corner-edge pairing algs. try to practice the algs individually para makabisado mo talaga. then, for the f2l, "slow down and look ahead" gaya ng sabi ni macky. pero, gamitin mo muna yung mga basic algs sa mga cubing site, and if you can, try to execute the f2l algs from all angles (intuitively or cubeloop f2l all symmetryalgs). pag sub-25 ka na, you can try slow solves with f2l shortcuts. you're slow-solving while looking for the shortest way possible when doing the f2l. madaming tricks to which you can discover on your own or in cubeloop.com advanced f2l algs. halimbawa, you don't have to set-up the f2l anymore kasi minsan yung position ng pairs, nasa middle na pala ng isang algorithm, so you don't have to set-up then undo the set-up. mga ganung tricks. and it's necessary na at least sub-25 to be able to do that. basta, practice lang talaga ng practice...

Re: For the cubers who solve the cube in 20-25 seconds
cool, galing after a day... mas tumino na slow solves ko.. 22s, kaso naiilang ako bilisan ung LL ko. haha..
Re: For the cubers who solve the cube in 20-25 seconds
Ganitong ganitong ganito ang sinanay kong style. So far, it's been fruitful. Kaunting multi-slot and less cube rotations, I average a good 12s on the F2L part when doing it slowly. Ang problem lang dito, nakakainis pakawalan yung speed at the LL. Pwede kang madala nung hang ng kabagalan ng F2L.

yeah, naaaddict na din ako sa ganitong style. it's ironic, and i never imagined bibilis ako dahil sa slow solving. i just got another sub-17 average today after practicing slow solving with metronome for 4 straight hours.

Re: For the cubers who solve the cube in 20-25 seconds
My sister (and camerawoman) always berates me dahil mukha raw akong siraulo while solving. I stretch my neck side to side and do it, in her words, in a relaxed manner and then suddenly execute the LL like a speed devil. Haha.
I haven't used a metronome yet for long practice sessions. It's too noisy at home to even hear the ticking, but I've used it some time ago the see how much pacing I need. So far, without cross problems, I average a good 3-4 turns per second, which is rather consistent with the total time and number of moves of my F2L (36-48 moves).
The only problem I see with this approach is I tend to think of a lot of variations (Winter, edge preserve, edge-corner set-up, etc.), kaya minsan nagkakagulo. When I use the normal approach, ie. locate and execute algo, I don't feel satisfied at all.
Meh. Maybe it's just the French style of speedcubing that really inspires me. Slow, easy 14s. That's the ultimate goal before I do neck-breaking solves (Yu's 8.72s FTW, second or third pair pa lang ako nun, haha).

Re: For the cubers who solve the cube in 20-25 seconds
yeah, metronome is only advisable for cubers who can't control their pace (like me). madalas kasi, magsisimula ako ng slow solves, tapos, biglang di ko makontrol at bibilis ulit ako. They say you can't depend on the metronome all the time. eventually, you have to let go and depend on your own pace. but for starters, metronome is really good.
