I don't have the Rubik's brand for comparison, but I am definitely satisfied with the mechanisms of the Eastsheens... Works great without lubrication! Makes me wonder, how do they do it?

I know how to dismantle and assemble both E4 and Rubik's Revenge. Revenge has a circular center, E4 has the same contraption with the 3x3, it has a center core same with the 3x3, although a lot more pieces involved inside and more complicated. Actually E4 has a lot more pieces than the Revenge. So if you want to dismantle E4, you should think twice...it took me 4 hours to assemble it after it exploded. And you can also adjust the tensions just like the 3x3 DIY by screwing and unscrewing, although it has no springs. All in all, the design of E4 is more better than that of Revenge, the pieces move more swiftly than that of the Revenge. I've tried a lubricated E4 and Revenge and I'd say I prefer E4 most. But I've heard there where some Revenge that are really smooth like Frank Morris' big cubes. Some do not like E4 because of its size and prefered revenge and vice versa.

This goes also with E5 and Professor's, but I haven't tried dismantling 5x5s. Too scary! So I don't know how it works both E5 and Professor's. But I've tried E5 and a lubricated Professor's cube, I'd still prefer Eastsheen. But then again they say Frank Morris' Professor's cubes are really smooth...so both I think has the potential for speedcubing. It depends cgoro saan ka comfortable.

EASTSHEEN!!! despite the unusual color configuration hehehe

disassembled both my E4 and E5, you need a useless CD glued on top of a roll of tape just to make the center stand up straight. You dont need to lube E cubes, ok na sila right out of the box, actually its useless to lube E cubes parang walang difference, imo.

Yeah these guys are right, I have disaasembled all of my cubes and the hardest are E4 & E5. It took me 3 hours to assemble them both and its not fun its hard.
For me the best 4x4 are Studios. For 5x5, I don't have a good cube for that but Lester's cube was great, its a Rubik's that comes with a rectangular box not the hex one. I think cubes that comes with these box are good. I also want to have one.

E4 cubes have a core similar sa 3x3 rubik...pero i don't dare to dismantle kc complicated picture pa lng...E4 works best without lube...professor is very heavy to play with...needs lube...my E5 is really great! no wonder i still keep it inside its packaging...hehehe..
meron pa ata E4 at E5 sa national main sa cubao, check nyo...i just bought last week...

i've tried assembling professor.i have to cause my gf accidentally smashed it to the ground.yah it took me hours.for the 2nd time she broke it again and never bother to fix it again.

i got my my 1st revenge at dubai.the cude was so smooth(same with their 3x3 there).

e4 & e5 are good, so small and weightless, they makes me feel that their just for kids.while revenge and professors are big, heavy and feel so solid but mechanically unstable.

cant choose from the 2. if rubik's were to improved their cubes mechanically, ill go for rubik's 100%.
