Re: Finger Tricks
yeah, i never actually learned them its just happened because it feels more natural to use certain fingers to rotate the cube..
Re: Finger Tricks
yeah, this is where im best at, contrary to where I suck (recognition), but still needs practice.
Re: Finger Tricks
you know it comes naturally,, me i learned it from experience not from tutorials...

Re: Finger Tricks
Right you are jettyboy. Algorithms is just it, its the fingertricks that enhances them.
Re: Finger Tricks

Re: Finger Tricks
Got some tips pajodaep:
*try holding the cube with your fingers, not your hands, approximately 2.5 inches away from your palms, depending on the length of your fingers. Do this also when you solve, because some people forget that their palms are already touching the cube.
*as always, try maintaining your left thumb on the front center piece as possible, and do this move R R' U.
That alg is a good exercise for your fingertricks. Keep repeating it, dont do it once, perform it continuously until you get tired. If you can do it fast, then I will move on and teach you another exercise, but a bit complicated. Thats how I learned my fingertricks before, I perform simple exercises that I made so that my fingers would do it subconsciously while solving.
This is what I have imparted to fellow speedcubers Bim and Fritz. Now Fritz is sub23 and Bim is sub20 (faster than me ).

Re: Finger Tricks
The last of my exercises that I would teach is to perform 10 moves in 1 sec. Its possible, everyone can do this with the right fingertricks AND THE RIGHT CUBE.
Re: Finger Tricks
man. 10 moves in 1 sec? i mean it depends on the alg or is it just an exercise for finger tricks?
i saw a japanese dude solve the pll (r2 (R2 U) r2 (R2 U) U r2 (R2 U) R2 r2) (where the edges of the LL switch across) something like that, with his own alg and he did it on 1 second xD!!!

Re: Finger Tricks
Its an exercise jettyboy, even you can do it. I can do it below 2secs, my fastest was 1 sec. I tried making below 1, but it was physically impossible for me.
here: (R' U R U' R') (R U R' U' R)
Its a good exercise.
I can't do fast R2s, only RUs, this jap dude must be an alien like Mat. Imagine 12 moves in a second! not to mention the R2s. Thats wicked!
