What made you pick up the rubik's cube?

hehehe sa simula kc i got a cube from a friend at my birthday pero nasira after 24 hours local kc eh... tapos nakita ko ung sa youtube ni dan brown tapos inadik ko na sa fridrich... ngaun naghahanap pa ako ng orig pra mag sub-20 nman ako ang tigas kc ng mga axes eh...

naku mas maganda nga tlaga ang orig at lubed na cube hehe mukha namang mdami ka ng alam hindi malayo na makasub20 ka na hehe.

12 ako nun. Never really got inspired by anyone (ni wala akong kilalang naglalaro nun dati). Just bought a cube in the store for fun, played around with the solving instructions, and tadaa.

hahaha.. nung october 13 lang ako nakahwk ng rubiks cube.. haha,

uhmmm i think when it was aired in GMA's 24oras about a world championship rubik's compitition that i was inspired (actually jealous) of what they have done...

ako dis january 5,2008 lng me unang una nkahawak ng cube sa buong buhay ko... mron kc dala ung classmate ko sa (nose bleed) subject ko na cube... tpos

sbi ko: "bro,nabubuo ba tlga yan??"

sbi nya: oo, pero matagal bago matutunan..

den after ng class nmin,nagpaturo ako sa kanya.. nagulat sya kc in 45 mins natuto agad ako... den ung Jan.13 (last month) bumili me ng own cube sa TRU.. tpos nagpractice ako, from 5 mins naging less 1 min. na ako...

bale kahapon ung 1 month aniv. ng cubing ko... wahahahha.... bagal pa ko, sub40 pa lng... heheh...

first i think its way to impossible to solve all faces of the rubik's cube. but i still try but failed, i just did solve 2 faces nung grade 4 pa ako nun. then i stop.

years after nung dec 23, 2007, i saw my cuz trying to solve the cube, but all he can do is 1 face. hiniram ko at i tried solving 2 faces but it seems i cant. so pag uwi ko ng house and do some reseach about solving the rubik's on the inet. eto pa nga yung site (hxxp://www.rubiks.com/lvl3/index_lvl3.cfm?lan=eng&lvl1=commun&lvl2=cbegam&lvl3=compet) . after 3 hour i solve my first complete face of the rubik's cube. YEHEY!! heheh.. tapos pinasikatn ko yung pinsan ko, nagulat sya at elibs daw sya, pero mas elibs ako sa sarili, bcoz i solve the impossible. hehehe...

for me start cubing coz sa magic club namin madami na rin cubers most of the time hindi na magic jaming ginagawa kung d cubing na lang i got interested becoz of the challenge of it. i also started at dan brown tutorial vids. most of the time pag may nag papaturo sakin i recomend that vid coz madali intindihin

Ako? Hobby lang... tsaka naalala ko nung 8 yrs. old pa lang ako eh may malaking achivement na ako nun. Naka buo ako ng 3x3x3 front face lang. ehehe... isang side lang yun. Tsaka nagcomment yung tito ko na ang "Galing Ha!"

Then napadaan ako sa TRU last 3 days ako tapos may nakita akong Rubik's Cube. Binili ko na agad.

dati may nagbigay sakin ng rubix.. chipipay lang na cube.. nung hindi ko mabuo, tinapon ko.. haha! that was like high school days

then this january, i took the challenge. madami kasi ako nakikitang bumubuo ng cube so i decided to give it a try. nung hindi ko parin mabuo, and since i'm a techie guy now, naghanap ako sa net.. at nahanap ko sa youtube video ni pogobat(dan Brown) and viola!! nabuo ko na unang 4x4 ko! hihih

ako i started this jan 20 something basta weeks pa lang ako nagcucube nainspire ako sa clasmyt kong babae na natutuo lang sa bro nya then un nagtry ako tapos nainis ako sabi ko hindi ba mali to???hahaha . . . then ung pero husa ko lang natutunan ung sa 2 layers kakapanuod sa clasmyt ko sabi ang saya namn nyan then un tinuruan nya ako sa last layer then un my current time last week is 40 secs. but i have a sub 50 avg.huhuh marami pa akong cubing na gagawin hahaha . . .

hehe ako, I started mga 3months ago... kuya ko kc nagcucube so nagpa2ro na rin ako sa knya... hehe.... discovered speed cubing after 1and a half month... haha... bought my first orig na rubiks cube 1month ago... started speedcubing 1 month ago.... current average is sub 35 ^^.... huhu bagal ko 3months na... oh well... tamad kc ako mag fridrich... haha... sasabog utak ko (^_^)

i saw rubik's cube in some people's hands in our school
and non of them could solve it
i gave a try and didnt go very well..
and i told my self.. why can't i do that?

and searched for cube videos
and for a tutorial

I had always thought that the cube was impossible. Then a classmate of mine brought it to school and solved it. It was so aliw. O.O And so I learned it. I bought an NBS cube and learned how to solve the first two layers (not F2L). Then when we were in Jakarta for a choir competition, I learned OLL. Then I decided that I HAD to learn PLL. So using an online guide, I did. And then I learned F2L. And now, here I am, a sub40 cuber after about... two months after learning to solve the cube. XD

I started cubing 7 months ago after deciding that a Rubik's cube is impossible to be solved. Haha lol, pero when I was a kid, around 5 or 6 nasosolve ko one face lang, not even a layer. Haha. So, 7 months ago, I was encouraged by the students in our school (PSHS) who were sitting on a bench cubing. So I got my own cube after a week and searched for a solution in the internet. After 2 days, I can solve it na on my own, sub3minutes. Ahaha, after 7 months of practice, sub35 average ko, LBL pa rin, 2step OLL at PLL. Pero I'm memorizing OLL's and PLL's while trying to learn F2L.
