I have figured out my mistake.
I solve too seriously, it makes my
fingers stiff, my F2L, OLL, and PLL
gets affected along the way. If I solve
too seriously I get pressured frequently.
I tried solving on light fingerstricks,
just like what Bim adviced, and solving
while flowing like water, thinking only
the next move every step of the way and
not bothering to think if I could get a
faster time.
Note to self: "Focus only on the solve,
not when its solved."
I got sub20s applying this, I have yet
to do an average. Wish me well!

i'm wondering... this doesn't work for me (or at least for a TRU cube). i really have to concentrate and solve seriously in order to get fast times. but yeah, i loosen my grip a bit, but i still have to make my fingers stiff in order for the algs to be executed smoothly. being too lax with the cube just slows my time...
