How to Determine if original DIY or Dian Sheng ???

Im noobie here.Ive read almost all topics about DIY..Then ive read also the topic about the Dian Sheng, yun fake na cube and it also have screws... Im about to buy DIY this Saturday 950pesos.. How will i know if its DIY from the fake Dian Sheng...Panu pala malalaman kung DIY Class A or Class B or Class C...

Dian Sheng is assembled na. DIY isn't. Saan ka bibili?

a lot of ways to determine pinaka halata is if assembled, may logo ung white, tas walang kakwenta kwenta ung stickers=dian sheng

pero ang dian sheng at ang bibilhin mong DIY eh malamang parehong FAKE... pero with the price of P950... eh malamang original na DIY yan... ganyan kasi ang presyo ng RUBIKS.com DIY or assembly kit eh...

ang original na DIY eh RUBIK's.com DIY or ASSEMBLY KIT... yang ang original DIY... pag wala kang nakitang LOGO ng DIY mo... then it is a FAKE...

the best FAKE or IMITATION DIY out there is from CUBE4YOU.com... 9SPUZZLES.com is also a good one... there is a lot but only these two online store we can bought one... meron sa KOREA at JAPAN... pero hirap basahin ng ONLINE STORE nila eh... wala english... buti yung dalawa kahit CHINA based may english option... meron din sa TAIWAN...

DIAN SHENG is also an IMITATION DIY from china... but with a low quality plastic... the only thing good about it is it's smoothness... maingay sya... maganda para sa mga walang PAMBILI or MABILING rubiks cube or TRU cube... at walang pambili ng dekalidad na DIY like from CUBE4YOU... it is a good starting point from learning to cube...

DIY white pala yung bibilhin ko

Thanks mga people.Kunin ko na sa saturday yun. D na ako makapaghintay eh.Kaya kahit 950 pesos bibilhin ko na yun.Kailangan ko na mag practice eh.hehehe.Gamit ko kasi ngayon TRU cube 3x3 at 4x4. After siguro nitong DIY white na bibilhin ko, target ko next time DIY transparent.

Ask ko yung bibilhan ko kung meron pa syang stock

Good thing this thread came out. With the DS craze right now, I have a bad feeling someone will unassemble them,remove their stickers, add a screw set, yellow core and PVC sticker, seal them in a ziplock bag and attempt to sell them as C4Y DIY cubes. Especially because more on more people want them. I have both, so I believe I have the right to give an insight.

C4Y WDIY cubes are not exactly white. They have this tinge of yellow to its pieces. A mere off-white perhaps? You'll only be able to identify this if you place it side by side with a DS cube,which has a zinc white color. In other words,freakishly white.

The center pieces of the two cubes are also different...way different. If you look at the under side of the center piece of a C4Y cube, youll see that it is as smooth as the butt cheek of a baby,similar to a TRU cube. No notches whatsoever... DS cubes on the other hand have small "ding" on the under side of its center pieces. It probably helps in keeping the cubies aligned after every turn.

If you look inside the center piece of a C4Y cube, you'll see that it has a protruding circle in the center. This helps keep the washers in place. DS cubes dont have that, they just look like a sink only smaller...a pool of empty space then a pipe dead centered into the core. Hehehe.

The center caps are also different. C4Y center caps have squares inside the bigger square which snuggly fits to its corresponding center piece. DS center caps have "spikes" that hold them in place. It also has an "X" on the underside. And no...they are not interchangeable with the C4Y cap...

C4Y cubies are crudely molded while DS cubies are freakishly "ding" less. (if there's even such a word)

Hopefully, nobody will try to take advantage of the ignorance of mankind.

Regarding the class issue in C4Y cubes...

An (A) cube has a yellow core and 2 washers, 1 small and 1 big.

(B) and (C) cubes have either white or blue cores and 1 small washer only. The supposed big washer is welded to the screw already.

Regarding the materials used..i have no idea...YET. Hehe
