screw/spring/washer alternatives?

naisip ko lang na wala pang ganitong topic dito sa site...


basically ordered diy kit from sites like cube4you, etc.,


i have read some post here(a reply actually by popoy) telling that his diy kit don't have

screw/spring/washer with it like this one

and after being shocked when my diy kit arrived without screw/washer/spring(actually nakalimutan lang isama at isusunod nalang)

here's the thing guyz:


do you guys recommend something which will be a good alternative

or replacement on these things

or what's the real size or name of the screw/washer/spring in case

someone will just look for it in local hardwares or stores with related products...

anything?

Hmm...nothing will be as better as the proper screws in my opinion. Cube4you.com cores are built like a glove for the threads of its screws. If you use a different screw you might damage your core or even make it useless..That would be hard for someone who's very excited over a diy wouldn't it? Well, while waiting for the screw set to arrive you can put your cubies on an existing cube...say a TRU cube or if it's white a DS cube...but that won't do anything at all. You're still basically stuck with a regular cube with cube4you.com cubies. But if you're really desperate then go ahead and take the screws from your regular cubes say an NBS cube and while your in NBS buy 6 pens with springs. Those damn springs are really effective but your best option really is to just wait...Malas lang talaga i guess.

i'm just wondering whose trying different screw set to modify their cubes...

Well I tried "modding" my DIY din. Nawala ko kasi yung dalawang center caps. What I did was I put the edge and corner cubies from my DIY sa Yuga Cube. It worked like a dream, I can now flick my cube to turn more than 360 degrees. Imagine and Eastsheen 2x2 pero 3x3...The only downside I guess is that it's kinda rattle-ish. Mejo irritating but heck, ang ganda naman..

pag bumili ka ng diy na hindi pa buo meron yun screw spring and mga bilog-bilog na me butas--yun ang washer...

search mu sa cube4you.com makikita mu dun

ngek pareho pla tayo kaso mas malala ung seu. sakin kulang ng isang screw ung DIY ko. alternative ko ung NBS screw sana makatulong
