Re: LBL VS F2L
let put it this way, it's a no contest Rev
LBL as we know it is layer by layer (hence the acronym)
F2L is doing the 1st and 2nd layer at the same time, then 1 step for OLL (orienting last layer) and another step for PLL (permutation of last layer)
So you see, in speedcubing the fewer the moves (not necesarily though: you will understand this as you go along learning the CFOP method) the faster you can solve the cube.
you can learn a lot by reading the speedcubing threads on this forum.
FYI: in the first official rubiks championship held June 5, 1982 at Budapest, it took 22.95 seconds by Minh Thai with a non lubricated to capture the first official WR. Fridrich method (F2L) was never heard of during that time (although
this method was first developed in the early 1980s by Jessica Fridrich, and was published online in 1997)
good luck!

Re: LBL VS F2L
LBL is no match in CFOP
khit n masterin mo pa magdamag yan eh hndi tlga papalag yan
heheh kung mamaster mo man cgro mhrap . . . saka nkksawa
nmn ung scenarios paulit ulit e
national buk store waaaa. .
bsta CFOP k nlng d best ^^

limit of LBL is 25 sec.... fingertricks + lubed cube (DIY)+ very good dextery and recognition...
oh, and faster if you can multi-slot each layer...

Re: LBL VS F2L
Re: LBL VS F2L
well obviously kung iicpn mo sa LBL pagkatapos ng cross mag 4 corners ka pa then the second layer pero pag Fiedrich ka sa 4 corners mo may second layer ka na rin.. then ung last layer mo imbis na 4 algos or kahit mag skip ka. sa Fiedrich 2 algos lng.. sa tingin ko nababagalan ka lng dahil d mo pa master....... ^_^

Re: LBL VS F2L
So far ave. ko sub40.
Re: LBL VS F2L
paano LBL method mo... from first layer to last layer...???
ako kasi CROSS... then 3 corner... then key hole sa second layer... then CROSS sa last layer... permute corner... orient last layer then permute edges.... average ko dati on a lubricated TRU cube... 36 seconds...
sa CFOP (fridrich)... on a very good lubricated cube... 42 seconds... hehehehehhe... :D:D:D
pero 1 1/2 months pa lang me FRIDRICH... kaya okay lang... tapos everyday during lunch lang puwede magcube... sa bahay mga 1-2 hours lang tulog na... :D:D:D...
F2L - intuitive... (low recognition)...
OLL - 26 algs... (average recognition)...
PLL - 21 algs... (fast recognition)...
heheheheheh... :D:D:D...

for me, wag mu na sayangin ung time mo for lbl kasi talgang CFOP ang best formula sakin. hehe, para mag sub 20. sa lbl kahit, magskip ka sa LL, di mo magagawa sub 20.... hehehe

Re: LBL VS F2L
it's funny that LBL is being evenly matched up with F2L when we all know that F2L was made to improve the LBL method of fridrich.. which implies that F2L is really better than LBL...
