uhm.. I believe that there is a time and place for everything... but priorities come first... if i were you... review on your own as early as now so you won't have to take the review... or re schedule?

kasi in my case yung review ko sa tutorial center e.. may bayad kasi

ako din, may formation kami for COQC (cadet officer qualification course) -- preparation for CAT on june 5 .. (every saturday for the whole school year kami nagttraining) meaning, magsisimula palang ako, magkaka-absent agad ako, and demerit .. tsk .. pero it's just one day .. yung iyo mejo ewan .. timbangin mo ano mas mahalaga .. and remember, rcpo is just once a year .. Ü .. pero di kita pinipilit .. ikaw rin lang naman makakapagpasya e ..

ako i'm not fast pero i'm joining just for experience .. =p
so i'm gonna sacrifice everything to join .. ü
(pero i bet, rcpo pipiliin mo. ü)

sa tingin niyo ba sikat paren cube next year? RCPO09 possible kaya?

ako nga may class.. sat and suday major pa pero sunday lng me pupunta pra isang araw lng ma miss ko

Its not really a difficult situation in my case. Ewan ko lang sayo.

but then in my case, pwede .. sayo mukang hindi ..
so i change my option for you, mas magandang unahin mo yung review -- lalo na na PAID pala yan .. sayang ..

be a scrambler/judge to take part in the competition kahit hindi ka sumali.. hanapin ang thread sa www.philippinecubersassociation.org

hehe.. i know a university scholar who's relatively really good in cubing who can potentially break a record in a certain category (guess who he is.. hehe).. but willn't join the competition because of other priorities.. ayun. hehe.

in ur case.. i think it is not education but more of schooling..

kung gus2 may paraan... kung ayaw madaming dahilan.

try mo nlng tawagan ung review center sabihin mo di k makakapunta tas tanong mo kung may paraan pa like dun s cnabi ni enzo na re sched

UPCAT REVIEW. I didn't even have the money to attend one of those expensive review classes when I was reviewing for upcat. You're privileged enough to and you're wasting it?

Maybe attend rcpo once then study na pagdating sa bahay. Since it's a 2 day event naman...

@ immiscible : ATTEND UPCAT REVIEWS. kung pwede parehas..edi much better..pero kung you have to choose one lang..UPCAT first. once in a lifetime lang ang upcat..ang RCPO every year.

Ngek, at first i thought it was "UPCAT vs. RCPO". If that's the case, then it's crazy to even ask the question. Of course, i would choose UPCAT. But then, i reread the post, and it actually says "UPCAT REVIEW vs RCPO." So, it was time to think. If I were to be asked, i'd weigh the situation first and make the right decision. UPCAT is not a joke. It's really difficult to pass the UPCAT without sufficient preparation. Sometimes, review classes won't even suffice. But then, RCPO, comes once a year. It's incomparable with the other Philippine competitions. RCPO is considered to be the most prestigious cubing competition of year with competitors flying from different provinces (or countries) just to participate. Being able to join this event is an achievement enough. If you think you're confident enough to pass the UPCAT, you can just attend the RCPO, and make up for the lost review time. It's just 2 days anyway. UPCAT is like, what, the first week of August? You can allot more review hours with this amount of time left. Years ago, I didn't attend any review class for UPCAt or ACET. I just bought these MSA reviewers and studied on my own, and thank God i passed. But if you feel you really need this review, well, i think you need to sacrifice the RCPO. There will RCPO2k9 anyway, but you'll have to wait for another year. Ang UPCAT, eto na lang ang chance mo eh. If you don't pass this, mahirap na makapasok kahit as a transferee pa. At baka sisihin mo pa ang cubing sa hindi pagpasa sa UPCAT.

Napansin nyo ba kung bakit hindi natin nakita si Shotaro Makisumi for the past months sa cubing competitions? That's because graduating siya sa high school and he's been preparing for his college. Macky's focus has become more about academics and college prep lately, though he still makes the cube a main part of his life. I've read sa Princeton University (New Jersey) ata siya magco-college eh. Ayaw niya na California Institute of Technology (Caltech) (Re: a lot of competitions were held both at Princeton and Caltech hehe) Although Princeton University is as competitive naman as Caltech. But i still choose Caltech sana for macky since ang ganda ng mga researches sa mga advanced materials na ginagawa sa caltech ngayon. Macky has dozens of prestigious mathematics awards from competitions around the country, and excels in all of his studies. There's always a way to find a balance!
