i'm already a month here sa pinoyspeedcubers but since wla p kong post d2 s I exist I'm gonna start to do it now kahit nahihiya ako....

About me: I'm very shy at first, medyo naiilang ako ng konti pag di ko gano kakilala, but when i get close to you, medyo makukulitan k lng nman po skin ng sobra sobra. Mabait ako s mabait sakin, medyo masama ako ng konti sa masama ng konti sakin. Ayoko ng masyadong papansin na tao

About my cubing and how I got interested in it:

1st Month as beginner(as in sobrang beginner from scratch!): Nagsimula akong magcube noong nauso ito noong early months of this year exactly 3rd week of february. Nung time n yon lhat ng kaibigan ko in our row like Lawrence, ay marunong na magbuo ('cept Gregorii), ako niisang color face di ko kyang buoin and wla akong interest s cube pero inggit ako s nila sa pagbuo, kaya nagpaturo ako, unang level s pagbuo first layer, mejo nhirapan ako it took me a week to learn it on my own kasi di ko ganong maintindihan ung turo nila. And then tinuruan n nila ako ng 2nd layer which is quite easy, and then 3rd layer, natuto na ko magbuo. My first recorded time is mga 10 mins ata using my classmates' basic method, then naging 5 mins and eventually 2 mins(ambagal!!!). And nauso sa ming school ung labanan ng rubik's, ung mga mabibilis nun kinlaban ko, medyo olats ako kaya ung mga classmates ko n lng ang nkikipaglaban. And then s room nmin nglalaban kaming magkkaibigan, lagi akong last, and when i think of those things eh medyo frustrated ako s sarili ko nun kaya i think of going the other way and search the net for some methods n makapagpapabilis s isang beginner,(so google nga is my best friend at that time). I think of it kasi inggit din ako sa mga time ng iba kong friend, like kay lawrence, his personal best was 1 min 11 secs, talgang gusto kong ma-beat ung time n yun and umabot s gnun ang average ko so that pag balik s next school yr(ngayong school yr n yun) eh may mapagmamayabang ako s mga dati mabibilis s room at sabihin n natatalo ko n ung dati nyong times. At nagsearch nga ako, and i found a variety of method, fridrich, petrus, heise, roux and all of those, wla akong naintindihan niisa, so i chose i n mas madali ngang intindihin, and ung nga ung fridrich method. At first sinabi ko muna ung concept ng fridrich kay lawrence, and hindi nya rin na gets masyado so i self-studied it. And talgang magulo di ko nga naintindihan ung notation before and those algorithms thing, un nagsearch uli ako and i gradually learned those things. Nagpaprint din ako ng mga algs ng OLL and PLL to start with it(ung algs ay galing s cubestation, the only cube page i know noon) . Malapit n mag summer vacation noon, and i said to myself, this vacation I'm gonna focus studying Fridrich method and I will beat those fast times of my friends in a month or two. At ung nga vacation n and i started learning and memorizing.

2nd month: Advance method n gamit Ko: First two days ko plang nag-fridrich and in memorizing algs, eh nabeat ko n ung PB ni lawrence with my time of 1 min 9 secs, improved kagad ung time ko kasi noong first month ko natuto magbuo, my estimate average was 2 1/2 mins ata, and my average suddenly skipped alot to 1 min 25 secs, in just a week of learning some algs. I always time myself at that times. then a week after, I bought my very first speedcube, Dian sheng lang sya, which was now in the hands of my friend alfred(nagturo sakin ng basic method), and tuwa ako kasi nagkaroon ako ng mas mabilis n cube. In my first month of using fridrich, i average about 1 min and got my PB of 51 secs and has memorized 10 OLLs and 12 PLLs. Pumunta ako sa bahay ni lawrence noon and i said nga na bumilis ako at pinagmayabang ko pang natalo ko n ung PB nya, at nakipag laban ako sa kanya and he always lost somehow, kaya sinabi ko s knya mag-fridrich n rin sya, and he did, he memorized ung algs na binigay ko skanya and searched more s internet. Bumilis nga sya. Magsesecond month n ko in fridrich and i averaged about 55-58 secs.

3rd month: Slow Progress in Fridrich and Redeeming Myself:

2nd month ko n s fridrich, pero stuck p rin ako s 55 secs average. I went again to Lawrence's house. Naglaban kmi, mga 40 solves yta kmi, and the bad thing was madalas nya akong tinatalo, ako puro 55 secs up to 1 min plus ang nagiging time ko while he was even having 45 secs, lagi akong olats. Sa tingin ko ang bilis ng progress nya, ksi siguro dhil s mabilis n nga sya noon, and ako nman medyo napapansin ko mabagal ang progress ko. So I said to myself sa next meeting ko kay Lawrence ay ma-be-beat ko n sya at mas bibilis s knya. Obviously Lawrence was the only person I know n ngrurubiks and makakalaban in our place. At yun nga nagspeedcube lng ako ng speedcube evrday, and i redeemed myself and slowly getting my desired times and averages. In two weeks I got my new PB of 31 secs and i even got my first sub-30 of 29 secs. And I think that was the time na na-realize ko i was really getting interested in real deal speedcubing na parang i want to join competition and get more knowledge about things in speedcubing. And yun nga i saw ung website ng RCPO2k8, and i registered there, nahiya nga ko kc kramihan eh lahat ng events sinalihan, ako iisa lng ung 3x3 single solve lng, at ska mabagal p tlga ako. Then a week before magpasukan eh pumunta ako kina Lawrence uli pra makipaglaban thinking n matatalo p rin ako sknya, yun laban n kmi, and i shocked myself kasi lagi ko n sya natatalo, siguro 3 times lng nya ko natalo nun, yun ang mas nagpaboost ng aking confidence in cubing and i think na redeem ko n sarili ko.

4th Month up to present: More Progress and My Goals in Speedcubing:

At yun na nagprogress pa ko ng konti, unti unting bumababa ung fastest times ko, 26 secs, 24, and ung dating goal ko n 20 secs, and ung first sub-20 ko n 19 secs, and 3 days before RCPO2k8, I got 18 secs that i couldn't believe myself na maabot ko ung time n un thinking n dati ay super bagal ko compared s classm8s ko noon. At sinubukan ko nman ibang klaseng cubes so I bought 2x2 and 4x4 s divisoria lng, at first nahirapan ako s 4x4, but I managed to solve it after 2 days ng pagbili ko nun. Yun RCPO2k8, medyo hindi felt ung presence ko medyo thimik kasi ako nun eh, at yun sumabak n ko, and parang taga-bundok akong di alam yung redulations ng event, but i still got a very self-fulfilling time of 27 secs, khit n ang goal ko was 22 or 21 secs(yabang ko nun). "AYON, TALO!", parang yung s commercial n lng yun nasbi ko, dami kasing mamaw eh. Now, I'm currently averaging sub-25 to sub-27, and memorized all PLLs, and 40+ OLLs, and my goal average is sub-20.

And that's all about my speedcubing story....
