Memorizing the CFOP (Fridrich Method)...

could you share some of you're techniques in memorizing the CFOP system..

for the CF for me its purely intuitive... but before it gets intuitive you need to practice the cross and get it at a good time.

Memorize the first moves of the F2L and the rest would be intuitive. Put it to heart and start solving using the F2L cases...

for the OP system.. memorize the algorithms based on your finger tricks..

like right-hand-slide-down right-thumb etcetera.. look for repeating patterns on the algorithm like up down up down.. convert the algorithm into your own understanding... execute the algorithm with the cube by solving and returning it.. learn where the figures should face before executing the algorithm by naming them. (ex.. tank with light in front). Turn the cube into a position where you could likely do it faster.. (ex.. for me i hate down turns, thats why i turn the cube on the side or up).. group each OLL cases together... those that look the same..

practice executing the algorithms without looking.. since it is the last layer you need to focus on the positions you need to switch not on the algorithms that you need to do.. by this you will get faster times..

practice your eyes and have a sense of logic, practice cubing in front of people (either you know them or not)...

now share some your routines on practicing and memorizing the CFOP system.. for the benefit of other cubers..

share naman kayo kung paano nyo ginagwa

nung inaral ko yung Fridrich/CFOP, nagsimula ako sa f2l yung pag-insert ng edge-corner at the same time. purely intuition muna ang ginamit ko, tapos yung mahihirap na cases, dun lang ako nagmemorize ng algs. after f2l, nagstart na ako magmemorize ng PLL. mas kaunti kasi ang cases compared sa OLL kaya PLL ang inuna ako. i used jessica fridrich's 13 cases (with reflections and inversions). pero i don't suggest that you use that site kasi pangit yung finger tricks nun. then, after memorizing all PLL, i started studying the OLL using burton and vandenbergh's sites. tapos, last kong inaral yung cross kasi yung yung pinaka nakakalito. mas nadalian akong aralin yung cross nung super familiar na ako sa color scheme ng cube ko.

with regard to the memo technique, i didn't use any particular technique. i just memorized the movements, then, inulit-ulit ko lang gawin ng mga 30-50 times ang isang algo hanggang hindi ko na iniisip yung movements and my fingers can just move on their own.

ako nman ngaun p lng ako nag mememorize ng F2L...magkakasabay pati OLL at PLL...sa cross-making mejo less than 4 senconds na ung cross ko...at down-cross na siya...(unlike dati nsa taas ung white cross ko)...keep practicing lng you'll learn the finger tricks when you keep on repeating the algs...

Cross and F2L ko purely intuitive....

OLL minemorize ko muna yung 7 corner orientations... minememorize ko ngayun yung 21 PLLs... balak ko pagkatapos ng 21 PLLs matagal bago ko imemorize bago yung ibang OLLs para makapraktis ng todo heheheh

nagprint ako ng mga algos san ba dito yung intuitive f2l? haha churi churi po nagsisimula pa lang ako e hehe salamat!

ang ginagamit ko po na F2L is from cubeloop.com...may mga revisions lng ako na ginawa kc ung iba mali...chka ung iba mas ok kpg sa right or left nakaharap...it all depends kung saan ka mas madaling makakapag finger tricks...

it is better to memorize PLL algorithms first then OLL.
cross making is purely intuitive. sanayan lang yun para maging mabilis bumuo ng cross. you should practice finger tricks everyday.
for f2l, it is way better to know and understand the flow than memorizing it.

And finger tricks will come out naturally as you do more cubing..

i don't know how i can help you. pero alam ko, problema mo yung paghahanap ng edge and corner pair. try mo mgsearch sa youtube pra nde k gaano mahirapan.

tama ka hirap ako sa edge-corner...

gusto din sna kita tulungan.. pero mahirap naman sa words.. hehe..

waaah hehe. ako nga mga dalawang case lang ng f2l pagaralan ko kelangan ko na mna tumigil dahil makakalimutan ko na yng mga susunod hehe. galing talaga galing!

ako nga intuitive lang ang f2l (yes, i really devised algorithms on my own and nakakagulat yung iba kong nagawa, yun na pala ung optimal solution... i am also currently inventing new algos for corners/pairs in the wrong slots) ko although hindi ko pa nakakbisa lahat ng OLL... currently mastering pll coz it's more important than OLL.. pero ngayong pasukan na..1-3 algos nalang muna kakabisaduhin ko kada linggo kasi mahirap subjects...
