TRU Assembly Kit II + C4Y = DianSheng

I just want to share this fascinating discovery. If there is already a post regarding this, my apology, I can't seem to find one.

Just so happen that my TRU AK-II is not a good one. Stiff even when lubed at poor quality ng plastic,
so an idea came to my mind,
"why not swap the core" (center pieces remained intact) with a C4Y diy.
Lo and behold, my cube became a D.S. cube, smoother and softer than D.S.
I'm so fascinated with the result. Ang galing!
Try nyo guys.
I haven't tried swapping a white C4Y diy with a real D.S. I'm sure I'll be amazed with the result.

yeah it is. but it was only 699.00 then but later on they made it 899. maybe the one i got really sucks and others maybe not.

bakit kaya ganyan ung sayo? baka nd lang adjusted properly ang tension..my rubiks assembly kit [from hongkong to..pero i dunno kung may difference ba] is MUCH better than my DS..

My RSCK is way way better than DS and my new C4Y Black 3x3 DIY type a. Tension lang siguro yan.

mas napansin ko pa yung laminated PLL mo ah? Ayus, harhar... Alam ko namang nagawa mo lang yan dahil siguro minalas ka lang sa quality ng plastic,, tsk.. Pero buti naging ganiyan Kasu ang sosyalni masyado ng cube mo, haha

di ba masiisra po kpag mix and match ung wlang screw n cube pano bubuksan po ung wlang screw bbli dn po ako kc sna nung asembly n cube eh

medyo sosyal nga kaso pangit pa rin result. iba pa rin talaga ang DS kahit magkakaiba ang plastic ng DS, masarap pa rin gamitin DS.

mali lang tension mo... at di po pangit ang plastic ng AK-II... nakita mo naman siguro result mo ng palitan mo lang ng CORE... meaning the rest remained AK-II... madulas sya... kasi kung pangit ang plastic ng AK-II mo... kahit palitan mo pa spring at core nyan pangit pa rin ang result...

mali lang po tension mo... kaya ng palitan mo ng core eh naitama mo yung tension... kaya ayun madulas na sya...

kasi base sa POST mo... ang nagpapaganda ng CUBE eh yun CORE ng C4U... so pag pinalitan ko pala ang NBS cube ko ng CORE ng C4Y... eh gaganda bigla... hehehehehhe... :D:D:D

naayos mo lang ang tension ng AK-II mo ng palitan mo ng CORE... kaya gumanda na ang AK-II mo...

actually AK-II pa rin ang center pieces and core.
baka nga siguro di maganda tension. pero u mean maganda rin sya in cutting corners?

cutting corners... hmmm... well i actually see two AK-II that is having a hard time in cutting corners... maluwag lang pala yun isa at yun isa naman medyo masikip...

pero when in balance tension... okay naman sya... especially sa cutting corners... try to adjust pa... pero pagdating sa lockups... eh dyan meron talaga... mawawala lang sya pag matagal mo na ginagamit...

kaya nga suggestion ko is use a very light silicone spray... konti lang... para may breakin pa sya... kasi pag medyo marami na... mahirap na ibreak in... kasi nagpo protect din ng plastci from wear and tear ang silicone... so mahirapan ng magbreak in pag nakapenetrate na ang silicone sa plastic...


and about the new DIY from c4u... sorry wala pa me idea... wait ka lang pag nakaorder kami... then we post a detailed review... as soon na mahawakan namin...

but one thing for sure... PLASTIC is almost the same sa Type A... core and screwset is 90% positive that is also the same... we don't know lang kung ano ang bago sa version II... curious din kami...
