uhm kaya po noob o newbie diba dahil baguhan sila dito sa forums hehe tulad ko newbie lng ako kaya dko pa medyo alam ung mga special function dito sa forums tulad ng pag search kasi nga baguhan lng, tulad ng pag solve sa rubiks d naman agad sa 1st time ma ssolve mo sya ng mbilisan dba? kya po mga sir pg pssensyahan nlng ung mga baguhan hehe peace!!

Ang aksaya lang kasi talaga sa forums ng paulit ulit na lang. Yun lang naman talaga eh. Dapat after a question is answered, burain. Or isara. Or something like that.

yung na nga ang problema, hindi nila alam ang proper forum posting tapos hindi pa sila magbabasa ng rules and regulations.

and i think cubing cannot be compared to abiding the rules and regulations since learning cubing is cumulative - - - in simpler terms for those im-sorry-i-didnt-know type of person - - - you are improving in cubing over time. This can be shown mathematically as a logarithmic curve more known as learning curve. Whereas in following simple rules - - - This is just COMMON SENSE. You can't improve in following rules. It simply following or not following. period.

Another thing: Hindi ko naaalalang may bansang gumawa ng batas na pwedeng may excuse na "sorry, baguhan lang po. hindi ko po alam." Pakiupdate naman ako kung meron na ha.

Ignorance of the law excuse no one in compliance therewith. Article 3 ng Civil code of the Philippines.

That being said, hindi po excuse ang pagiging baguhan sa forums sa pagbe-bend ng rules. Parang sa traffic enforcement yan. Hindi mo pwedeng sabihin, "bago lang po akong drayber" pag nakabangga ka.

It is the forum members responsibility to read and to post sensibly. On top of that, members should learn to READ all before posting.

The way I see the problem, most people are newbies regarding sa forums, as in the forums in general. Most think of the forums as some sort of a chatroom, kaya ang mga reply nila eh mga one-liners like "astig", "idol". Hindi naman sa nagdidiscriminate pero yun talaga ung nagiging problem dito sa forums. One thing na macocontribute natin sa forums is to set example to the newbies. Contribution na natin ung pagpopost ng tama.

For the newbies, sana we learn to read first and think carefully before posting. Kaya po may preview button na nakatabi sa send button.

um mga sir, correction lng po lahat po ng noobs o newbie ay hindi "im-sorry-i-didnt-know type of person", kaya nga po sumali sa forum na ito ay pra matuto from being a noob cuber to an advanced or an expert cuber sa tulong ng mga ngppost dito na magling na sa cubing, at ung taong sinasabing ignorante o walang alam ok lng kasi hindi naman sila perpekto,

example: bumaba ka ng bus at ung binabaan mo first time mong napuntahan, sympre walang kang alam sa lugar na yon kaya naman magtatanong ka sa mga tao, sympre ssgutin sayo ng kausap mo ung tamang daan o sagot at hindi "bt d mo alam ung lugar? b*b* ka ba o ewan?"

sympre ttulungan ka ng ibang tao pra mag improve kya nga may teacher at student, ang teacher ang siya nagtuturo sa studyante at ang studyante ang natututo, hindi naman sa lahat ng bagay ay nagagawa mo ng mabilisan o agad agad mong ggwin dapat mag start ka sa maliit tpos hanggang sa paglipas ng panahon ay lalaki rin ang malalaman mo

Naniniwala ako na kaya ginawa ang "newbie" area ay para matulungan ang mga gustong matuto at mga bago pa lamang sa cube. Naniniwala rin ako kaya ginawa ang PCA forums para makatangkilik at makapag-enganyo ng mga taong ngayon pa lang nakarinig o mga gustong matuto nito. Ngunit may mga pagkakataon na sinasamantala ang pagiging "newbie" at basta makapag-sign up lamang ay magtatanong na kung ano-ano. Hindi rin naman masama ang magtanong ukol sa mga moves, kung ano ang mga magandang istilo sa pag speedcube, etc. Ang nais lamang ng mga beterano nating mga miyembro ng PCA ay panatilihing maayos ang forum. Yun lang po, wala nang iba. Wala pong discrimination dito, pantay pantay lang tayong lahat.

Everyone is willing to share their knowledge. i agree with your stand that they want to know more in solving the cube but there are some questions that are answered dozen of times. i repeat to you for the 3rd time: PCA is not a chatroom. this is a forum site. hindi pwedeng i-cater namin lahat ng mga tanong na paulit-ulit dahil kung magkakaganon. matatabunan ang ibang topics na mas mahalaga. pwedeng magtanong as long as long as it follows the rules and regulations (in which you, too, are guilty of violating recently)

if you are not experienced at forums, try reading www.speedsolving.com forums.. and maybe baka malinawan ka.

hindi po maiaaply sa context ng at pagtatanong sa forums ang "pagtatanong ng isang naliligaw." kasi:

1)ang forum ay nasagot na ang mga tanong na iyon. ang taong naligaw ay walang talagang ibang mapupuntahan kung wala siyang mapa. eh ang forum site kumbaga ay may "mapa" ng given sa "naligaw" tapos magtatanong parin pa ba siya?

I'm starting to think PCA is the first ever forum of many people here.

But look, even so, yes, PCA IS my first forum too.

But even before I registered, I even searched on this site for things I would want to know about. Better yet, I searched the internet.

If I have showed improper decorum AND had not admitted to it, may the moderators please tell me right now.

If there isn't, then I don't think even first-timers in a forum should be excused to respect the previous topics and the operations of this forum.

It should be common knowledge that the first thing to do in a forum is to search for your questions before you answer it. And, I ask oretniprac, why should people be discouraged when reprimanded in a forum? Cubing is a personal hobby, it is not something that MUST be shared with other people to be continued.

Sure we welcome visitors who would want to learn about cubing, but why don't people realize ALMOST EVERY QUESTION THEY MIGHT ASK IS ALREADY ANSWERED MANY TIMES.

The issue is not a matter of us not wanting to teach people. It is the fact that people do not know basic internet etiquette.

hmm. ano ba masasabi ko? hindi naman talaga ito problema sa pagitan ng mga advanced at newbie sa CUBING eh. problema ito sa pagitan ng mga mods at newbie members ng forum na HINDI (take note: HINDI) sumusunod sa forum rules and regulations na hinding hindi nila masusunod dahil hindi nila binasa. the best forum example talaga ay ung speedsolving.com. come on. mas organized sila sa atin given the fact na mga pilipino lang tau sa forums na ito at halu-halong nationality sila sa forums na iyon. hindi ba iyon nakakahiya? kasi marunong silang gumamit ng SEARCH button, i guess?

eh bsta ako noob lng na ssnod sa mga rules and regulations, ewan ko nlng dun sa mga noob na paulit ulit na ayaw magpatalo sobra-sobra kung magtanong na ung mismong maiinis na dahil sa sobrang violations hahahaha, btw isang beses lng ako ng gumawa ng topic na ngttnong about sa methods at sa pag finger tricks nung nlaman ko na d pla pde yon d nko ngpost ng topics nagbasa nlng ako, tpos pag may mga post ako sa off topic nlng kung nbbore ako pra nmn mbuhayan wahehehehe, thx sa mga opinions nyo sana nga magbago ang PCA

Arguing is not going to get us anywhere, guys. I can rant here for all I care, either English or in the vernacular, and I am sure that either way, only a handful of people would even read the entirety of my post (or even skim it, for all I care).

The simple solution: kick everyone who do not follow rules, ban them from cubemeets, etc etc etc.

Why do that, you ask? Simple. If they cannot show proper decorum ONLINE, I do not expect them to be any better in real life. There is one cuber here, tipcuber something something, who's just warmongering. I promise, be this as personal as it really is, but if that guy as much as shows himself personally in a cubemeet, he will get a reprimand directly from me.

The problem with us Filipinos, and I will speak in the vernacular now, is this: kapag pinapagalitan kayo, nagiging 'hostile' kayo sa mga nagagalit. Eh bakit nga ba hindi, ayan tanong niyo, eh nagtatanong lang naman, blah blah, blah. Isang bagay na di niyo kayang talikuran ay ito: wala sana kayong tanong kung sa simula alam niyo ang sagot. Eh paano ba hinahanap ang sagot? Di naman agad sa tanong eh. Puro kayo mga analogy eh ganito lang yan, para simple.

Ang isang estudyante, kapag may notes siya sa isang subject at given siya ng access sa information, hindi dapat muna siya magtatanong kung meron siyang gustong malaman. Maghahanap muna siya ng sagot. Kapag napunta na siya sa dulo, at talagang wala, yun na. Saka ka lang magtanong. Eh dito, punyeta, ang laki ng Internet. Kung nagagawa ko ngang hanapin classmate ko online, paano pa kaya ang isang sobrang hit na hobby tulad ng cubing?

There is no excuse for ineptness. There is no reason to be ignorant. We are willing to share, and I want to emphasize, SHARE. If you want someone to cater to your questions, go find someone you can pester, not us who are willing to study cubing in its fullest form.

Sa totoo lang, even though I just don't want to say anything anymore, mahirap kapag talagang gusto mo ang ginagawa mo and nakikita mo na so many people are taking it for granted. Tsk.

sana maalinis na ung PCA.. napapansin ko dati dati nung bago bago pko dito madaming mga mod at loyal member ang nag popost. pro ngaun napansin ko kumonti na cla... kasabay ng pagdami ng population.. dhil ba dumami na ung mga pasaway? kea napagud na cla kababawal...( just an opinion)

Just to add:

Some people confuse the word "sub" for their times. Like somebody says "I'm sub-40" and yet their time is like 44.86s or something. It should be sub-50s and so on. Sub- is a prefix derived from Latin, meaning "under", "below", or "less than". How can you say "sub-zero" if it is "zero"?
