Cubing Suggestions anyone?
hello im a lone cuber here in Cabanatuan and i wanted to start a cubing community here.. currently i have 3 future cubers under my wing XD.
anyway i find it hard to get other people's attention because they keep thinking that i cant solve the cube, my average is still at sub50 after all
im still learning cfop and i really dont get the f2l algorithms and there are like 41 of them >_< can anyone give me some tips on which one i should learn first? thanks in advance ^_^

Re: Cubing Suggestions anyone?
Welcome to PCA!
What do you mean "they keep thinking I can't solve the cube"? Akala ko sub-50 ka na? That's already a good start!
As for F2L, sorry wala akong matutulong diyan... But really from what I hear, it's more intuition. You don't really have to memorize them... just study them and learn the concepts behind the way they work.

Re: Cubing Suggestions anyone?
xarfax1105 i can give you some tips on f2l... i like to use cubestation.co.uk for algos, so ill refer to that website.. through experience i think the most important f2l cases are the F and R cases (in the cubestation.co.uk website) start out learning those cases, i suggest learning one case, then its mirror.. F cases are mirrors of R cases and vice versa.. f2l a pretty important part of solving becuase unlike OLL and PLL you just dont see a pattern and execute the algorithm.. i suggest going really slow when learning f2l and really watch what the pieces are doing.. fridrich said that optimum time to execute the f2l is in 8 seconds after the cross, when i was first learning it in march 2007 i was so frustrated because i was actually solving it slower then when i was just using beginner f2l, but after you get the hang of it you will shave seconds of your times.. hope that helps...
Re: Cubing Suggestions anyone?
I agree with them. You don't have to memorize the algs for the f2l, understand them, learn where the pieces go. Only then you will surely get how to do the f2l. Sites I advise: www.cubestation.co.uk / www.solvethecube.co.uk

Thank you very much for the replies ^_^
punzki- lagi kasi nila tinatanong kung nabuo ko na yung cube, or at least the few people who spend a minute or two of their time watching me, most of them just look then leave that's why i want to learn cfop fully
isaganiesteron- so if i study case#F1, i should study #R1 next?

welcome!
don't memorize all the F2L algs, just understand each cases. remember F2L is really the most important part of the Fridrich Method so you have to put a lot of time on this step. good luck!

Re: Cubing Suggestions anyone?
here's some algo!! .. the no. case#24 ,29,36,41 those case no. makikita mo sa cubestation.. ,, you should understand how to conjunct or to make joined pair or how to separate a 2 cube piece to create joined pair and then apply those case no. algos ..
(y') R' U' R
R U R'
U R U' R'
d' L' U L
ayan po yung mga algo .., usage po nyan is to insert the the two paired cube pieces in empty slot corners

Re: Cubing Suggestions anyone?
hehe ok lang po ^_^... uhm intuitive .. di po yan method ,, ang intuitive po.. your own intuition,., or prediction.. kung san pupunta ang mga pieces.. ng cube... basta po .. pag aralan nio po kung papano guamwa ng paired piece and then perform mo yung algo pere it depends sa cases ,

yeah, becuase it is its mirror.. then F2 then R2 and so on..
Re: Cubing Suggestions anyone?
Thank you berymuch for the replies everyone ^_^ although i'm still a bit confused about how to pair up corners with edges i am making good progress with f2l.
by the way, are you guys going to particpate on october 7?

Re: Cubing Suggestions anyone?
i learned about 12 f2l cases then i configured the remaining 24 algs. it is advisable that you configure your own f2l algs because the algs you come up with are easier to memorize and will fit your cubing style.

Re: Cubing Suggestions anyone?
learning f2l was harder than i expected, spent almost all day yesterday learning cases and trying to make my own algs but it was worth it even though i have a headache today XD
mr bim_mijares do you have any tips on configuring f2l algs?
