Can anyone speedcube?

Can anyone speedcube (sub30) with hardwork or is it for people who only have the talent?

and yes people with talent are to progress much faster than those who does not have the talent

and yes hardwork can bring you to that point take me as an example it took 7 months of hardwork for me to get an 18 sec average

As most people already said/posted... hard work is the main way to do your best, talent just helps you do it faster...

i personally believe that anyone can reach sub-30 average with hardwork... and the act of solving the cube as fast as you can is defined as "speedcubing" which then makes you a speedcuber

That's according to him, but that makes a large misconception because as far as a cube solver times his/her solves, that's already speedcubing because you will always take notice on your cubing SPEED. Kahit magpa1 hour ka magsolve o kahit sub 15 ka na speedcuber na as long as you want to IMPROVE. If you will work hard on this, anyone can achieve a very very fast time.

yeah, i really agree with what Syalang said, just like in other fields, somebody is not born with such talent, but they are MADE,...

at lahat ay pwedeng magspeedcube, bazta tandaan mo lng yung sinabi ni kuya JB nung ininterview sya s SAKSI, hindi lang daw pang genius ang rubik's cube, kahit sino pwede, basta meron ka lng determination, interest, time and practice.

for me there's a thin line separating a person interested in solving the rubik's cube (aka cuber) from a person who has passion for it (aka speedcuber).

anyone can easily reach a sub30 average, it's just a matter of memorising the algorithms and some practise, but that thin line for me is the sub20 barrier, breaking that barrier separates the speedcubers from the cubers, it requires much more practise and learning more advanced techniques.

and for the topic question, it's just a matter of defining speedcubing, is it the time it takes for one to solve the cube that defines speedcubing? Or just the act of solving it and aiming for better times?

I have reached Sub 25
sometimes sub 24.. kung ginaganahan ako.. xD

nung una. i never thought na i could reach this feat..

pero ngaun. kasi yan, sa speedcubing.. ang common goal natin ay to become faster..
nung una. gusto ko maging 50, then 45, 40, 35, 30 ,25 20...

at ngaun gusto ko maging sub 19... kasi yan ang favorite number ko.. ewan ko lang un iba. haha...

Pero.. it's really.. Hard work and Perseverance.. and lots of practice..
i mean really lots and lots.. as in.. 300 solves a day.. haha..
