Re: Share your blindfold method :)
I'm also making a 2cycle method tutorial, but it is in text. I will email it to Lester and he will post it in the "Speedcubing Solutions". It is 3/4 finish. So please wait, I'm just kind of busy.

Sa edges permutation ko ito ginagamit.kaya nakakabuo ako ng words or sentences among this. di ko sinama ang e i o u dahil tayong mga pilipino karamihan sa salita natin ay may "A".
For example: 1, 11, 3, 2, 6 (ASa) (Ka) (bala)
practice and more practice.Kumain ng gulay para lumakas ang memory or take a Memory Plus. And don't forget smile.
And Always Pray to God.

sayang at di ako nakasali noon lalo na sa diliman I have no contact or information na meron na palang competition sa rubik.at kung meron man, di rin ako nakakapunta.Marami akong Schedules.
Ngayon ko lang natagpuan ang inyong website. Thanks!

nice memo technique... effective nga e2... kung magaling u magsaulo ng words, prang story method..
Re: Share your blindfold method :)

Re: Share your blindfold method :)
(edges palang kaya ko i solve). Kinuha dun sa isang 2cycle guide.
Re: Share your blindfold method :)
share ko lang din memo technique ko for the edges (by the way, i use simultaneous edge orientation and permutation by pochmann). i'm using an extended PAO (person, action, object) system. dinagdagan ko ng PLACE as another dimension. so PPAO na - place, person, action, object. sub-2 pa rin ako sa memorization. anyways, i just got another sub-4min solve yesterday while practicing...
A Attic Angel Acting Axe
B Beach Bull Boxing Bicycle
C Church Clown Crying Camera
D Dessert Dog Dancing Doll
E ER (hospital) Elephant Eating Egg
F Ferris Wheel Fireman Flying Flute
G Green house Gloria arroyo Gymnastic Gun
H Helicopter Harry potter Hopping Hoola hoop
I Ice skating rink Iceman Imprisoned Ipod
J jungle Jesus Christ Jogging Jar
K Kitchen Kangaroo Karate Knife
L Light house Lizard Laughing Lamp
M Museum Monkey Mountain climbing Medal
N North pole Nurse Napping Net
O Oval (track oval) Octopus Orgy Oven
P Park Peterpan Push/pulling Pencil
Q Quidditch stadium Queen Quivering Quicksand
R Restaurant Robocop Raining Rubik’s cube
S Ship (ferry ship) Superman Singing Sunglasses
T Toilet Tiger Tumbling Telephone
U Underwater Unicorn Urinating Umbrella
V Volcano Vampire Vomiting Violin
W Wallmart (mall) Wolverine (xmen) Walking Whip
some of the words were off kasi personalized toh. to anyone who will be using the PAO system, try to come up with your own words para personalized at madaling matandaan.
as with the corner orientation, and corner permutation, purely visual ako for single BLD. pero, for multi-BLD, i use the Roman Room na.
for the Roman Room, i incorporate the PAO for the edges, while i use the mnemonics below for the corners. kung baga, for every item in the room, i store a PPAO and a set of the mnemonics below:
1-pencil
2-chopsticks
3-clover leaf
4-table
5-star
6-yoyo
7-axe
8-hour glass
(i just memorize the positions of the items relative to each other.)

Re: Share your blindfold method :)
oh wow, i tried visual memorization for the first time today. i got it successfully on my third attempt: 4:13.02 on my first successful solve!
totally no mnemonics involved. purely visual. i just tapped my fingers on the pieces. i tapped the corners and edges, and memorized the sequence of my finger movements. I think it worked well for me coz my brain's used to this kind of memo since it's also the same memo i use when i memorize the fingering of my piano pieces and i've been using this memo for for the piano for years now. i think i'm going to switch from PAO to visual (except for the multiBLD). still using the piece by piece though so i'm still slow during execution.
i just realized that the visual memo is not at all that difficult. At first i was afraid to try it because i know i don't have the special memo skill so i went by the PAO system. But it actually works, although it takes time getting used to. And, i think the visual memo (if mastered) is the fastest memo technique. Some visual memo'ers I know (for single BLD) are Jonathan Papa, Erik Akkersdijk, Pedro Santos, Leyan Lo, tim habermaas, Mike Hughey. Of course for multi-BLD, the visual memo won't work especially for more than 3 cubes...

@Pajodeap
Haha, I also play piano and I like visual memorization more than any other memorization. I also do what you do, the tapping of fingers, positions, finger movements and et cetera.
Anyway, I have finished my blindfold tutorial already. Anyone who wants it, can Instant Message me anytime through Yahoo! Messenger or Microsoft Network Messenger. I am happy to offer you the tutorial.

Re: Share your blindfold method :)
guys, im currently studying M2/R2.. but before that i studied pochmann's 1st method as Joel explained it very clearly. im having a hard time when it comes to the UB, UF, DB, and DF egdes (the edges that rotate along with the m2 move), im confused with the rotating center piece, can someone post how is this done? i don't understand pochmann's explanation (or im just too lazy to percieve them clearly)

Re: Share your blindfold method :)
Haha. You're just too lazy to percieve them, pare, pero alam ko naisip mo na...

Re: Share your blindfold method :)
nakakalito tlga ung M2 method n un para s akin. nakakalito kasi kapag nagprapraktis k w/ ur eyes open kc ako nadidistrurb ako dun s misplaced center pieces parang roux method ang influence ne2ng M2 pero im trying to study it! mabilis daw kasi execution eh

Re: Share your blindfold method :)
diba ganito,
UF: U2 M' U2 M'
DB: M U2 M U2

Re: Share your blindfold method :)
tama si cubecubecube. diba bumabalik ung centers every 2 M2? kunwari ung una mong M2, non-M slice edge ung naapektuhan. after that magsswitch ung DF at UB and UF and DB. (try doing M2 on a solved cube). wlang problema pag UB o DF next target mo kasi nga M2 lang ung 'alg' dun. pero pag UF o DB na, iba na iyon. hope this helps.

Re: Share your blindfold method :)
i understood na how to solve the m-slice edges, but im stuck when it comes to parity.. haha.. mas gusto ko ung site ni erik "adikadik".. haha.. hindi ko pa alam kung paano ihahandle ang parity.. ambilis ko na magmemo sa corners..visual memo lang pero magiisip ako ng mental ink sa stickers.. drawing lines or objects that connects evry sticker.. i still like the old pochmann for corners kasi mas marami nga naman bad cases dun sa R2 for corners.. baka magswitch ako sa 3cycle corners later pag namaster ko na ang buong BLD.. hehe

Re: Share your blindfold method :)
hey, i use the old poch, with j perm for coner and t perm for edge. sinusubukan kong pag aralan ung 3 cycle for edges. and hindi ko sya magets LALO na ung EO. pano ko malalaman kung oriented na sya? yan ang tanong ko sa sarili ko. ung EP kasi mejo alam ko na eh. di ko rin magets ung sa youtube. hay. kahit sinong marunong mag 3 cycle for corners help naman! thanks. ^^
Re: Share your blindfold method :)
I use M2 for edges and 3 cycle for corners:P

bonoan1027, TuRBo is Erik Akkersdijk's BLD method. 3 cycle with less setup moves, but more algorithms to learn. http://erikku.er.funpic.org/rubik/
