new world record: 1:00.62 - he almost broke the 1-min barrier!!!

(under the strict rules toh, so definitely no cheating here)

- Alex Uses M2 for Edges and Cycles for corners.
- It's so weird, most of the really fast cubers now use the M2 method (there's rowe hessler). It's so easy to learn and execute, yet execution is soooo fast. Astig talaga si Pochmann mag-imbento ng method... Aralin ko din kaya... habulin ko for Cebu Open 2k8 hehe...

allowed yun. read the new rules on the bld. ok lang tanggalin ang bld before stopping the time, pero di mo na pwede galawin yung cube mo after mo tanggaling yung bld. (disadvantage pa nga toh eh)

actually, i believe matyas is also really fast. i think he can really do the sub-1min BLD (milan believes this too). i think he just got obsessed with his success streak that's why he resorted to cheating. but matyas is really fast. i believe it too.

cguro nga kaya ni matyas ung mga sub1 min na BLD, kasi he excels naman halos sa lahat ng puzzles, sayang 2loy ung mga records nya di nya madefend... palagay nyo babalik pa xa sa competitions after na matapos ung ban period nya?

m2 method is now fastest method in BLD right? if i'm gonna do BLD, i would rather go to M2 or R2 method directly

i think so. Although ang gamit ni Alex Yu is hybrid of M2R2 and 3cycle. He uses M2 for the edges and cycle for the corners. Pero M2R2 is a good choice for those who are going to start studying BLD.

I don't like R2 though because of the higher probability of bad cases, or so I heard. M2 is however really fast, and I would like to learn it. I'm just too lazy to adjust to the new method.

same here. sobrang nakakatamad mag-aral ng bagong method. pakiramdam ko, sayang nung inaral kong 2-cycle. tapos, obviously, pag nag-aral ako ng bago, back to zero, babagal ulit ako, and kailangan ulit i-practice yung bagong method para bumilis. although, yung memorization, ganun pa rin naman.
