Hello, guys. Jerome here, pero I'm more used to being called Jome.
Brian, a friend from UP, directed me to this site a long time ago pero sobrang lurker lang ako since tamad akong mag-register. Anyway, I was wondering kung merong payag na maging mentor-of-sorts ko since yung dyslexia ko is killing me. The list of algorithms are basically hard for me to understand in the long run.
Si Brian naman, medyo busy so di ko na inaabala. Kung may interested na magturo (ok lang kahit di pa kabisado lahat, kahit COLL and common PLL lang), please post here or text me at 09062113890. Sa UP lang naman ako araw-araw na ginawa ng Diyos so ok lang kahit QC na ang meeting place.
May nakapagsabi na sa Starbucks Trinoma raw ang meeting ng peeps. Paki-confirm naman tapos pa-text na rin para pwede akong sumabay. Salamat mga idol.

On a more personal note, nagsimula akong mag-cube ng 3rd year HS. 3rd year college na ako ngayon. Yung pinakauna kong ginamit na cube is yung National Bookstore cubes (yung P104.00, haha) na sobrang kunat. Yung method na ginagamit ko then (and up until now), ako lang may gawa. Back then, mabilis na ang 1:5x sa akin dahil sa kunat ng cube.
Fast forward today, nakilala ko si Jeff, drummer sa isang UP-based band tapos he directed me to the Fridrich method. Two years ago pa yun (oo, mahirap magka-dyslexia) at di ko pa rin makabisado. Eh dahil loser mode kapag HS dahil bawal gumamit ng credit card ni erpats, dehins naman ako nakakuha ng matinong cube.
Nung recent months, merong nakapagsabi na available na yung rubiks.com cubes sa Toys R' Us. So dali-dali akong bumili at nag-rediscover ng cube methods. Add some silicone oil and *poof* 35.11s. Yung standing average ko pa rin is 47.21s, medyo lucky solve yung 35.11s dahil yun na yung time na nakuha ko ng kaunti yung F2L.

May 3 akong videos na up sa youtube.com. Yung username ko is graveyardshiftee. Disabled ang comments dahil alam kong bano kaya kung pwede lang talaga, dito niyo na lang sa akin ipaalam ang pwede kong gawin to improve my times.

As of the moment, I am practicing COLL dahil medyo madali siya unless na lang kung talagang no cross case ang ilalim. Pero hirap pa rin.

Haha. Salamat pero I'm not necessarily a noob. Right now, I know at least 12 PLL's and some COLL's. Hirap lang talaga akong gumamit ng guide dahil dyslexic ako.
Eh ako lang marunong magbasa ng notation dito sa bahay. Haha. At ayaw nilang basahin para sa akin. Seryoso lang, ang dami kong algo's na nasisira dahil baliktad pala nakikita ko.

Okay...backtracks...
While I was reading this dug-up thread I had a very weird feeling. Kinda awkward rather. Noobs that are not so noobs anymore.
Sir Jome was the first one to reply to my first ever thread that I made just about last year. (roughly a month after this thread was made) I sorta found a friend in him well someone i look up to to be precise.
I suffer from the same gift as Sir Jome, dyslexia! (take note: gift...many great people have dyslexia) I'm pretty much relying on my muscle memory to perform algos. Being a musician for quite awhile now, this is pretty much my way of learning. Seeing him improve into the cuber that he is today, I am pretty much inspired and motivated. "Yes pappu, there is still hope for people like you in the world of long chains of your downfall...letters and numbers" Haha.
Okay...after that very gay moment and as a member of PCA i'd like to welcome sir jome too (kahit nauna pa siya sakin dito) Hahahaha.

haha welcome again jome! the first time i met you, you were constructing your own algos for oll's! talk about noobness haha! ikaw ang isa sa mga cuber na kilala ko na full of knowledge in cubing... ummm... science. ngak haha. tama madame kang alam sa science of cubing hehe. ikaw ay isang cube scientist! hehe. welcome again my friend!
