Pair Change - F2L intuitive

Do you change pairs?

sometimes i do this..

for example..

the first thing i see was a green and orange pair, while i was performing the algs(intuitive) for this pair.. i notice that on the top layer, a blue and orange pair is already oriented and paired properly, so what i do is.. stop moving the green and orange pair and then insert the blue and orange pair.

I hope you guys understand.

Depende kasi eh... Kung di maaffect yung isang nakita mong pair, stick parin ako sa orange-green pair. Kung magugulo yung blue-orange, ma split yan into two.

I will either:

1. Change my pair
2. or not

...depende kung yung masisira sila, yung pair na buo na, in a way na mahirap ibalik, ndi ko sisirain..

...but if kung pag nasira siya is naging easy case siya ng f2l like yung 3 algs lang, wala, magulo na siya, madali lang nmn ibalik eh...

so far yun ang ginagawa ko and I'm sub40, don't know if may mas magandang way.

Ang hirap idescribe sa words eh noh, haha... sana may masipag na mag drawing.

me it depends, kung anu ang una kong ma-spot eh ung ang una kong ipasok sa ryt slot kaya mabagal me sa F2L! waaaaa! kelengan ko talga ng tym para magpraktis ulit...huhuhuhu....

F2L talaga pinakaimportante para sakin.. ewan ko lang senyo... xD

F2L>PLL>OLL>Cross

ako sa mas marami na mainsert pero kung masisira lang eh... patuloy pa rin ako sa green and orange... hope you understand kasi hindi ako perfect mag tagalog.

para sakin ang f2l ang pinaka importante kasi ito ang pinaka mas kumukuha nang time kaysa cross,OLL at PLL

i don't do this..instead..babantayan ko na lang ung nakita kong pair..why stop? kung nasimulan mo na (kahit kakaset up mo pa lang)..waste of time kung ititigil diba..so ang ginagawa ko binabantayan ko kung san mapupunta ung isa pang pair..kung kaya kong iinsert ung current f2l pair na ginagawa ko without breaking the other f2l pair..edi mas okay.. hehe..

whenever i see cases like that, what i do is i preserve the pair that i see and move on with the current corner-edge pair that i'm working on. there are so many tricks that you can do to preserve that pair. some tricks can be learned intuitively. i learned these tricks though from multi-slotting algorithms. in fact, the only time i get to apply multi-slotting algs is when i encounter that situation you mentioned. since most of the time, it's difficult to recognize 2 pairs at once, it's hard to apply multi-slotting. thus, only when the abovementioned case happens do I exploit multi-slotting. but see, these situations happens rarely anyways so it's not that big a deal.

yup.. i agree.. ganyan din ako...

tsaka kunwaring ndi mapigilan ibreak yung nakitang pair...
madali na yun kasi alam mo na agad location nung dalwa

very well said, this case is also an easy case for petrus users, we preserve the pair and insert the 2x2x1 along with the misaligned edge, it is just a 'move away concept' sa petrus...

basta kung anu ma spotan ko un n un. .while im doing my cross im looking na for my 1st move for my F2L. .hirap talaga F2L dami kinakain na time. .

it's really easy to get around to this problem.. it's actually ALWAYS possible to preserve the pair, if not, it can be sort of "preserved" such that the algorithm that you'll use for that "preserved" pair is the trigger R U R' (if the preserved pair is in the FR slot).

you see,generally, it's a waste of TIME (a second or two) if you are working on a pair and see another pair and shift your attention on the other pair and destroy the pair you are 1st working on.

an exception is the case where the pair you are working on and the accidentally paired f2l pair is already in the U layer. but in general, as i said, you can actually always solve both pairs. this is one of the reasons why you should do one-step stop solving and know a lot of algorithms for an f2l case. i hope this helps!

it happens to me a lot, ang nagyayari nacoconfuse ako, meaning hindi ko alam uunahin ko, kung ung pinaghandaan ko bang pair o yung kakikita ko pa lang, ayun ang resulta... natitigilan ako at nalilito, umaandar ang oras, kya minsan, nagsstick ako dun sa una kong nakita, hayz...

unahin ung nag pair na^^
un lang. madali nmang makita
ung dapat mong i.pair eh.
